We have had enormous interest and enthusiasm from members and investee businesses and we are building on this to expand the network.”
Incito members invest in early stage businesses where the founding or executive teams include exceptional women who can truly drive the business forward, with innovative products and/or concepts that may be overlooked within the more traditional angel investor networks. Aspire Fund
This £12.5M VC fund, supported by government funding and, managed by Capital For Enterprise Ltd invests in businesses led by women. It invests on the same commercial terms as a private sector investor and can make investments of between £100,000 and £1m. The Fund is particularly focused on women-led businesses that must show substantial representation of women on the board and executive. There is also a need for an experienced lead investor, but this can be a syndicate as well as an individual investor and can also be attractive to women business angels to bring their skills to support the business ongoing including mentoring and ongoing guidance.
