The £5m Advantage Early Growth Fund is a region-wide, venture capital Co-Investment fund set up to assist early stage businesses that have growth potential and are based in the West Midlands.

In every case AEGF must invest alongside an investor from the private sector, on the same terms. In most cases this will be one or more “business angels”. The Fund cannot invest more than the private investor and has an initial limit of £100,000. The Fund has no particular industry preference, full details can be found on its website.

The Fund was launched in February 2004 and in its first 21 months of operation it made 25 investments in 21 companies.
