Tax-advantaged venture capital schemes: a government consultation

At Budget 2011 the Government announced it would consult on further support for seed investment and start-ups, simplification of the EIS/VCT schemes and ensuring they are targeted on genuine risk capital investments.

The Government also announced that feed-in tariffs businesses would be added to the excluded activities list from 6 April 2012. In accordance with the new tax policy making process, the Government is publishing draft legislation for comment. This can be found in Annex B.

The closing date for responses is  28 September 2011
