Thames Valley Investment Network

The Thames Valley Investment Network is a business angel network that focuses on innovative, early-stage technology companies with high growth potential, and although based within the Thames Valley region it works with businesses from much further afield. Launched in March 2003, TVIN aims to link entrepreneurs seeking business development funds from £150,000 to £750,000 with individual business angels and other investors.

The Thames Valley is one of most dynamic and energetic regions in Europe and there is a strong and growing need from companies who wish to access funding and business expertise, and an ever increasing number of investors who are seeking high-quality investment opportunities.The Network offers access to a rich source of investment opportunities in early stage ventures within the Thames Valley and beyond. TVIN promotes the formation of angel syndicates and has active investor members who can add value to growing businesses. TVIN works through its dry run panels to actively support businesses in developing compelling presentations.

Since Autumn 2009 TVIN has been successfully running a series of Investor Workshops with the help of its professional experts covering a range of topics essential to the investment process. These workshops also provide an opportunity for new and seasoned Angels to share their experiences. The main aim is to support the networks’ members and to encourage new investors into the exciting area of angel investment.

TVIN also has two sister networks: The Oxford Investment Opportunity Network (www.oion.co.uk), which has a strong focus on life science and technology business and the Oxford Early Investments (www.oxei.co.uk), which is focused on very early seed investments.

TVIN together with its sister networks OION and OEI, was one of five partners in the successful bid from Capital for Enterprise for a £50m Co-investment Fund which will provide capital to match investments from business angel members of the Network in high growth companies.
