St Johns Innovation
St John's Innovation Centre is a business incubator established by St John's College, part of the University of Cambridge, in 1987. It provides flexible workspace and business advice for early-stage businesses, mainly in technology sectors. Some 55-60 companies are housed on site at any given time. The Innovation Centre supports the wider business community by undertaking and research programmes in association with the East of England Development Agency, the Greater Cambridge Partnership, the University of Cambridge and others. The centre is also a member of the EU-funder Achieve More partnership, which brings together nine partners in five European countries to foster better incubation practice and collaboration across clusters. During 2009-2012, St John's is running an extensive series of workshops across the East of England on Undertaking Finance for Business, including investment readiness training and pitchingpanels with business angels.
