Minerva Business Angel Network
The Minerva Business Angel Network was formed by The University of Warwick Science Park in 1994 as part of an Access to Finance programme aimed primarily at stimulating the growth of innovation-led businesses in any commercial sector.
Although known for its specialisation in technology and knowledge based businesses including university led spin out opportunities, Minerva will work across all sector and at all stages of growth in raising start-up and development capital from its business angels, venture capital funds, banks and corporate investors.
Currently Minerva operate two active investor syndicates who meet on the last Tuesday of every month when approved applicant companies have the opportunity to present to both groups in the same day. Minerva will assist in identifying the package of funding required, make any appropriate introduction to other funders and both help the company prepare its presentation and organise follow up interest.
We will also help new to investing Angels with investor workshops and actively encourage involvement by Angels in assessing proposals and will also assist companies in looking for Non-Executive Directors from its database of investors.
