Forbury Investment Network

Forbury Investment Network (FIN) is a platform established by Clarkslegal to facilitate investment in early- and growth-stage companies in the technology sectors.

Securing funding to develop new sustainable technologies and services is often a major hurdle for many businesses, particularly start-ups and those lacking an established track-record. Support for small and medium size businesses and academic institutions is urgently required and it is on this basis FIN was developed.

Via a secure website, FIN enables entrepreneurs wishing to raise funds to submit "funding proposals" to be viewed by investors. Entrepreneurs have the opportunity to present their funding proposals to FIN's network of investors at investment meetings. FIN also provides a regularly updated online knowledge bank, advising entrepreneurs on issues such as presentation guidance and steps for creating a business plan, as well as hosting quarterly briefing events for investors. 

FIN works closely with organisations such as UK Trade & Investment to support organisations looking to relocate and establish themselves in the UK and those companies with significant export potential.

FIN is also developing The Commonwealth Environmental Investment Platform (CEIP), in alliance with The Royal Commonwealth Society. CEIP is a pan-Commonwealth network linking entrepreneurs and companies in the environmental sector to international investors. The platform is designed to facilitate investment in sustainable technologies, to improve international awareness of developments in green technology and sustainability issues, and to support low carbon economic growth across the Commonwealth.
