www.oxei.co.ukOxford Early Investments (OEI) is a business angel network that focuses on innovation companies at the very early stages of technical and commercial development. These companies are often building on an initial proof of concept, and require investment capital of between £20,000 - £150,000 to develop their product. This stage of company growth is often the most difficult to fund. OEI was established by Oxford Innovation in November 2004, and builds on the success of its other investment networks, including Oxfordshire Investment Opportunity Network, which regularly closes deals of between £200,000 to £2m. OEI holds bimonthly meetings where selected companies present their opportunities to an audience of investors, who often provide management input and contacts, in addition to vital capital. |
