Affiliates are individual business angels and informal non-structured groups or investment clubs who have evident interest in the business angel and SME field.
The cost to join BBAA as an Affiliate is £350 plus VAT [£411.25] subscriptions will be payable on the 1st April of each year.
As an Affiliate of the BBAA you will benefit from the following:
- National Trade Association for Business Angel Networks, groups or syndicates and relevant associate agencies
- Board Membership: a limited number of Affiliates can be nominated to the Board (subject to nomination and approval)
- Annual BBAA Conference:
Opportunities to participate in the conference, which includes high-level speakers and opportunities to share best practice - First conference to be held in Birmingham on 6-7 June 2005, sponsored by Advantage Business Angels and Advantage West Midlands
- Annual Workshops:
Opportunity to attend free of charge, high-level speakers on a range of relevant themes, hosted in different regions. Potential to contribute. - Opportunities to network with business angel groups and associates including bankers/solicitors/accountants.
- Monthly Newsletter: providing market intelligence, details of trends, news on national developments and regional developments; news from members, associates and affiliates; opportunities to promote local events. Opportunities to contribute professional articles.
- BBAA Web-site (including a password protected area):
Offering database and profiles of BBAA members and associates, including details of services offered; high-level information on market trends and policy development; news of events both for BBAA and among the members; - Participation in Consultations: opportunities to be involved in consultation exercises- meetings or electronic surveys relating to policy and other developments concerning the informal investment market and other related issues
