If you wish to join BBAA as a Full Member your organisation must satisfy the below criteria:
Be a formally structured or constituted business angel group, network or syndicate. Have an active involvement in the SME investment market
Have two full members of BBAA to sponsor your application to become a full member.
The cost to join BBAA as a full member is £750 plus VAT [£881.25] subscriptions will be payable on the 1st April of each year.
As a Full Member your organisation will benefit from:
- Membership of the UK's only National Trade Association for the business angel industry
- Use of the BBAA logo on your paperwork as an industry kite mark
Adoption of the BBAA Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedure
- a straightforward code which will ensure high standards amongst
members and which can be used by each member internally as a code of
best practice Board membership: a limited number of members
from each category can be nominated to the BBAA Board - subject to
fulfilling nomination procedures and approvals - Attendance at the annual BBAA Conference which include keynote speakers and opportunities to share best practice
Attendance and right to vote at the BBAA AGM (which will be held immediately after with the annual conference on 7th June 2005. - Annual
free workshop to be held around the country with the opportunity both
to hear high-level speakers and to contribute expertise
- Networking opportunities with other members
- Monthly
newsletter providing market intelligence, trends, up to date news on
national and regional events and developments, members' news,
opportunity to publicise local events and contribute professional
articles
- Privileged (and password protected) access to the BBAA website at www.bbaa.org.uk
which will include: searchable database on all members and their
activities, information on market trends and policy development; news
on BBAA and its members.
- Signposting by BBAA to members of SMEs and investors through the BBAA website.
- Participation
in consultations: where, within a focused environment,
members will be able to contribute in person and in electronic surveys
views and opinions related to policy development of both the BBAA and
government policy in relation to the informal investment market
and other related issues
- Lobbying - the BBAA will represent your views to government on key issues relevant to this marketplace
- Discounts on industry related goods and services.
